Neupert Clavichord, new, made for performing

New Neupert Clavichord (Oct. 1954)

Modelled on an early 17th century, instrument in a Munich Museum (Munich Museum of Science and Technology), five octaves, only one in South Africa when imported in 1954. (Transvaler, 5.11.54)
Utilized frequently, often with visiting musicians, to compliment the vast library of keyboard scores collection.   Periodically performed on for JMS concerts and SABC music recordings.
These instruments are quite challenging to play, due to the method used in sound production. All fingers must at all times use the same down force on the notes, to hold the tuning pitch!
